It's coming ...............

.......... "What is", you're all wondering.

Electric Quilt 7

that's what.   Now I currently use another software package for wasting time designing quilts, but I've just been looking at the website and reading about EQ7, and I have to say
I want this programme.
The list of features it contains is just completely amazing, and would keep me playing on the computer even more than I do at the moment.  Apparently it's due out in mid-June, but my birthday isn't till January.  Hmm I'm going to have to think about this one.............................

  1. I can't wait for the new version! I've been a user since Version 5, and I love this software.

  2. I have v.6.0 and still haven't used all it's features but for someone who designs as much as you, I think YOU NEED IT NOW!

    Why the heck wait until a birthday (or any other excuse). Spend more of the inheritance {giggle}

  3. I was just thinking I need to update my software to something that can truly help with fabric yardage calculations. My current design software surely must think I need enough extra fabric to make four quilts, and trust me I'm not that bad at cutting!

    How about a gift for getting through the summer months? That way you could move it buying it in July... Or tell everyone to hold off on Mother's Day until June because you want this software?

  4. I got an email about the upgrade a couple of days ago from the 'Man from Rio' (Rio Designs) - it looks fantastic especially the new photo tools.
    I think a bit more skiing practice is needed!

  5. I have vs 6 and love it, though like many still haven't mastered all of it! But the upgrade looks fabulous, God bless the man from Rio! More skiing needed, me thinks!

  8. I've never had one of these programs. I know so many great quilters who use them. Maybe I should think about it again?

  9. I got an E5 that was used and I haven't mastered it yet. I'm more of a tactile person I think. I may play more on the E5 before I consider spending for the new one. Sounds like you NEED it though!

  10. I LOVE EQ and have already ordered my upgrade. I don't make a single quilt that I don't either design or adapt in some way in EQ.

    A lot of people say that it's too hard to use but EQ6 was a lot more user friendly than previous versions and really between the book and the help files it's not hard to figure out.
