This gorgeous table topper was given to me, together with the little Poinsettia, by my friend Scrappy. There may have been a box of chocolate penguins too, but they seem to have disappeared - in other words, we've eaten them.
The topper was made from blocks in a book called Victorian Quilt Block Designs, and I loved it so much I have now bought the book too! It's on its way to me and I should receive it either tomorrow or Tuesday.
This gorgeous angel was sent to me by Naughty Nancie. I think this is so cute that I am going to find it very difficult to undo it to use the fabrics, but I do have a plan for them, so I will have to take her apart soon. (The angel, not Naughty Nancie.)
I also received a lovely calender from my friend Gail (Lynn's sister). The calender has stunning photos of Yosemite Park throughout the seasons. Since I'm not sure of the copyright laws, I am not showing any photos of it, but, take my word for it, the views are stunning. Yosemite was somewhere we didn't get to visit when I was on holiday with Lynn as there was a strike of government workers at the time I was there so the park was closed. I hope I will get to see it with Lynn, Mr Joe and Gail in the future.
So, I'm sorry I'm still talking about Christmas, I guess it will soon be Christmas 2015, but I really wanted to show you the lovely gifts I was lucky enough to be given. Thank you all so very much.
I'm here, always here - Feedly tells me as soon as you publish a new post and off I toddle!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely gifts you've received, but then you deserve them:}

ReplyDeleteThe fabric angel is such a cute way to give someone a fabric gift. I'm sure there are lots of us out here following your posts.
ReplyDeleteLove your postings- always inspiring
ReplyDeleteSweet gifts. Don't apologize; I still have my decorations up.
ReplyDeleteThat angel is such a fabulous idea and I love your table topper.
ReplyDeleteLovely topper. Oh, we make angels like that with dish towels and pot holders - no sewing involved. I remember the parks were closed when you were in the states - you missed for sure and it was nice of Gail to send you such a nice gift.
ReplyDeleteThat is gorgeous table topper! Chocolate doesn't stay around here very long either.
ReplyDeleteOf course we are still here :) lovely gifts
ReplyDeleteThe table topper is beautiful. Love the fabric angel too! I would have a hard time disassembling it too. Chocolate........what chocolate?
ReplyDeleteYes, we are still reading. Your gifts are lovely. I had a fabric angel like that for about 5 years and finally disassembled it to wash the fabrics. She did not reappear except her spirit was in a few other quilts! I'm a bad blogger too as I'm still learning my new computer but I think I have it down and plan on posting more now. We will be waiting and watching for more of your posts. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteWow you were really blessed with awesome gifts this Christmas!!! That angel would be perfect for the fat quarter exchange my guild does - any chance of pictures from a few sides and back before you dismantle her?? Whenever I get an email that you have a new post, I pop in!
ReplyDeleteHey, you're on my sidebar so I know when you post and it will always be there. I'm a bit late with this due to babysitting duties and just doing a catchup. Love the little table mat. Take care.
ReplyDeleteOh and Happy Birthday seeing Ive just realised it's the 13th here.
DeleteWhat a beautiful table topper you received. Such a great way Nancie used to gift those fabrics...sweet! And no chocolates left...how can that be?
ReplyDeleteWonderful gifts! I love the fabrics in the angel. What do you plan to make with them?
