With a little help from Scrappy, I think I've settled on the middle layout, although I'm tempted to go for the third version, but with the fabrics swapped around a bit. Any thoughts anyone?

Decisions, decisions ...
... Scrappy and I loved our joint quilt so much that we are both making smaller versions now. These are destined to be charity quilts and we have been asked for cot sizes. I've made my blocks, and then I had to decide about the layout. I decided not to go for the original layout that we used, but to play around a bit and see what happened. Well, this is what happened:

I agree with you that the middle option is the one I would go with. I did have to study it and the 3rd option because I wasn't sure how it differed. I finally saw differences. Took me a bit!

ReplyDeleteI like the first one, too, liking the positive/negative effect of the blocks. But all the arrangements are lovely I can see why the choice was difficult.
ReplyDeleteThere's a very pale yellow that looks a bit lost against the white. Do you have a stronger orange, yellow or red to use instead? There, now I've given you something else to think about!!
