Happy anniversary .........
........ yes, we were married 43 years ago on Valentine's Day. The date was chosen by Mr Fixit. "Aah, how romantic" I can hear you saying. Sadly, no, not romantic at all. His reason was that if we got married on that day, he would never forget our anniversary. Well guess what? He forgot our first anniversary, until my mother reminded him! I can promise you he's never done it again though!

Happy Anniversary darling. I could have told you that wouldn't work - we got married on my birthday (just a coincidence, it happened to be the right day at the right time of year) but the dear boy has still managed, on more than one occasion, to forget BOTH.
ReplyDeleteLike Mr Fence, he doesn't do that any more ....
Happy Anniversary! Have a great day! x
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! I'm afraid Valentine's Day doesn't impinge on my hubby so it wouldn't work for him either!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary to both of you!
ReplyDeleteFor years after we married Keith would think our anniversary was on April 15 (tax day) rather than the 21st. I always wondered if that meant that subconsciously he associated the wedding with something bad.....
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing wrong with having an easy to remember date! Happy Anniversary.
Happy anniversary, hope you have enjoyed your day!!

Happy Anniversary! Fun to celebrate on Valentine's Day. For similar reasons, we picked Lei Day (5/1) to get married in Hawaii. As we are in Hawaii on our anniversary every year it makes it pretty easy to remember, and a fun day to celebrate.
