Hello, is there anyone out there ....

...... who still comes to visit me?  I've been quiet for so long, you've probably all got bored and found new friends.

We had a lovely family Easter but can anyone tell me when your kids grow up?  How did Mrs Nomad end up with yoghurt all over her face, courtesy of her little brother Mr Teacher?  I only turned my back for a moment and that's what happened.

On Saturday we had a lovely dinner of lasagne followed by Lemon and Lime cheesecake, all made by Little Person - OK Mummy helped a bit.

He also helped Mr Fixit to feed the birds:

In my last post I was struggling to make those rectangles.  I finally did it, BUT... I forgot what would happen when I joined them together - no nice sharp points.  I'm not doing that design now.  I am having dreadful trouble with precision in my piecing at the moment.  I blame my new glasses, but my father has another theory.  He reckons the new specs just mean I can see that my piecing is inaccurate now.  How cruel.  Just wait till he wants another quilt.

  2. Yes, we're still here waiting for your post. What fun you have with those darling kids. I know what you mean about growing up. I have a grandson who is 12 now and doesn't think he needs to hug me anymore. So....I just keep hugging until he hugs me back!

  3. I'm still here and your lasagna and cheesecake look yummy! We feed the birds when the grandkids come, and of course in between, other wise the birds would starve.

  5. Here I am! Your dinner looks yummy -- sorry I missed it. :) Sorry your rectangles didn't work out. I'll bet you're working on something even better now, though! Can't wait to see what you've been up to.

  7. HI Sue,
I am still out here and do stop to visit but I am even more behind in posting than yourself.
Life is a bit crazy just now so I am not quilting very much - probably should be doing more of it to counteract some of the rest of my life.
Your dinner looks yummy- don't worry about those rectangles- (we are often our own worst critics)perhaps you could use them in a liberated quilting project - there are some beautiful quilts happening with this technique- Check out Gwen Marston or Freddy Moran's work- I love their quilts.
    Have a great weekend.
    Regards,
    Anna

  24. Yep, still here too!

Having just come from my son's and nephew's weddings I wonder where the time has gone too. The photo of the 3 boys together reminds me of all the times Brian was over and visiting with my sons and now all 3 are grown up and married.
