Although it looks very smart, as you said earlier, "had enough, now please go away". Sadly, if the forecasts are correct you won't be getting your wish for some time to come ...
YUCK! I'll have to tell hubby if we were still in England we would of had snow today! If there was moisture in the air here we would have some snow. It gets down in the 20's overnight and hanging in the 40's as a high! Geez....cold toes!
Yep, know the feeling! We've had a lot of snow here in Hemsworth and posted on my blog. Only a few flurries today so people have been out trying to dig out their cars and drives to attempt to go out tomorrow. One neighbour has winter tyres so they get out and about as easy as anything!
One advantage of not being out in the snow is that there's more time for sewing.
Hey, Quilt Sue you were on the NEWS last night!! Yup, apparently you are having the worse weather in 25 years!! Got to hate that...and with so much to do!! Cars all over the place...sure hope one of them wasn't yours!! Stay warm...and stay off the roads! Paulettexo
If the snow is making things dangerous and inconvenient, I hope it gets better soon. But, forgive me for saying this, I like snow. You can throw a snowball at me for saying that.
That looks cold Sue. :-) NO SNOW HERE..... yet! Don't want it either, but when the whole of England has it except us, we are starting to wonder if we are missing out. :-) x x x
It certainly winter here now, it funny how everything is grinding to a halt yet as a kid we had winters like this & i don't remember it being like that stay safe & warm Hugs Janice
Hi again Sue, It is great having a Follower in the UK, to be able to see what life is like way across the other side of the world!! You are freezing, and cold, and we are hot and sticky!! ...lol... It was 36 degrees here today, and will be 33 degrees tomorrow, again quite humid too. I hate the heat, but at least we do have mild winters here in Adelaide, South Australia. Your snow looks so pretty though! I have only been to the snow once (in Victoria) at a place called Falls Creek and it was lovely. Not good with my asthma though, going from a warm room inside, to the cold outside air. Hugs n Blessings from Sue in Oz
Sue, That's just how it looks here in Utah. We have talked about moving someplace warmer for my health issues but we love the four seasons. Well, we did, it seems that now our four seasons are Cold, Colder, Coldest...then Summer magically appears for 2 or 3 months then we are back to cold again, LOL. Ah well, I'll snuggle up by the fire and stitch, or go to my sewing room and turn on the heater that keeps me comfy. Besides, bad weather makes me want to sew!!! Hugs...
I'm actually wishing for a little snow here but we rarely have any. I wouldn't mind getting snowed in for a few days so I could finish Christmas sewing. :) blessings, marlene
Hi again Sue, Can you please let me know what the Christmas Quilt a long is? I can see the little advertisement on the right hand side of your blog, but if I click on it, it doesnt take me to anything about it, if you know what I mean. I have said it in a clumsy way, hope you understand me. Hugs n Blessings from Sue
Oh goodness, me again, I keep forgetting to say that you did indeed tell me that you used to live in Adelaide. I would love to find out more about your time here. I would be happy to give you my email address if you would like it. Just let me know. Hugs from Sue in Oz
The snow looks neat in the garden. I have a friend who calls everything she doesn't get a chance to move or cut back "snow structure" like she does it on purpose for the snow to pile on - Ha ha
Cold, cold and cold! It is here too. I feel it too!! Keep warm, Sue!
ReplyDeleteEeek! Brrr! Makes me cold looking at it!
