Celebration Giveaway

This giveaway is now closed.  You can see who the lucky winner is here

Woohoo, today is the day my book is available in the US.  Now I'm determined that this won't be allowed to change my lifestyle at all, but I do want to celebrate, so I'm having a giveaway.

So, what do you have to do to win?  I would like you to look at the quilt on the cover of the book, then go to 1Choice4Quilting, here and decide which four fabrics you would pick if you were making this quilt, then come back here and leave me a comment telling me your choices.  When you leave your comment PLEASE make sure I can get in touch with you if you are the wiunner.  If you don't have a blog, or are a no-reply or anonymous blogger, please leave an email address.  You can email that to me privately if you don't want to leave it publicly.

Now I expect you want to know what you could win don't you?  Shawna from 1Choice4Quilting wanted to help me celebrate, so she has very generously donated a $50 gift certificate valid in her shop.

I will close the giveaway at midnight (BST) next Tuesday, 19 July, use the random generator to draw a winner, and announce the name of the lucky person on Wednesday morning.

  11. Hi Sue! Congrats on the book release in the US! I would make this quilt in Strawberry Fields, I do believe. I love the look of all the Fig Tree quilts, and have never made one yet, so this would be the perfect opportunity.

Thanks for the chance at a giveaway. Now, just in case this comes up as anonymous, I am Jayne from Jayne's Quilting Room, and we have often corresponded. I still can't quite understand why I can appear as me on some blogs, but on others (like yours) I cannot.

    Happy Quilting!!
    Jayne

    I would choose ...

Bryant Park B Fat Quarter Bundle by Anthology. I don't know how much fabric is needed for this pattern but I would hope there would be enough here. I would use those for the framing bits and would just get more yardage of some of them if necessary.

For the inside squares, I would then use Bella Solids Gray and Bella Solids Feather (or the white that best matches with the Bryant Park fabrics).

I'm so enchanted with this idea, I want to get started on it right now!

    See what you've done?!! ;-)

I think I can narrow it down by saying I'd choose two Bella Solids and some greens from Sunkissed. I don't have a green quilt, and would love one! I really love the pattern on the front of your book!

  80. Congrats on your release! I remember thinking of colors for this one before but I'm in a different mood now, so let me think... Blue, Red, Black, and Gray, whoops that's a song. "Mr. Jones" by Counting Crows. Oh well the red would be a solid or at least read solid, the grey would be dark almost like granite and a speckled black (so it wont show cat fur!), with the blue being royal marbled. You know that's what's great about your book. Pick the four pick the size and then start sewing!
