................. well, not if I can possibly help it. But this is the quilt that Mr and Mrs Teacher wanted when they werre expecting Little Person, so, how could I not do circles for them?
The pattern was in a magazine (I think it was Fons and Porter?), and I really loved it too, so I was really happy when they chose it. This was just before I was going to the Amish country on a quilt tour, so I bought loads of FQ's of 1930's style fabrics while I was there, and this is the result. They are not the colours or the type of fabrics I would normally choose, but I was really happy with the way it turned out so I thought I ought to share it with you. I hope you like it too.
LOVE the quilt!!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. Nice and bright. I don't do hexagons. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Quiltsue!
ReplyDeleteWhat a prety quilt~the 30's fabric was a great choice and i l0ve the stitching around each circle~lots of color and texture for little baby hands.....I don't do points so your quilt is right up my alley~

I don't do circles either, or that style of fabric, but this quilt is quite scrumptious! You've made me want to try circles .... bad QuiltSue.
ReplyDeleteDoes Little Person appreciate it?
Simply lovely! I like the pieced border and absolutely love the diagonal quilting at the final white border. Kudos on the completion!
ReplyDeleteIt is a great quilt. I don't do pieced circles. Yours turned out beautifully. I agree with Diane, it is perfect for a little person.
ReplyDeleteIt really is fabulous Sue, I'd never know that you didn't "do" circles.
ReplyDeleteButtonhole stitching your circles is a cute idea.

Hi there. My first time to your beautiful blog. Love it.
ReplyDeleteVery nice Sue!! I do love circles, but I'm not much for 30's fabrics either. I had to buy a few for a couple of row robins rows I participated in and they sort of grew on me. I like the bright colors, but still not sure I'll make a quilt them anytime soon.
