If you go to Cathi's blog, here, you'll find that she is hosting the first Quiltalong day of 2011. If you sign up to have fun with us, as Cathi says, you will get the instructions for the first block of Scatty Christmas Stars. I've already made my block, and so has Cathi. I've used a dark background, Cathi's used a light, and we're both really looking forward to seeing everyone else's blocks.

Thanks for the chat today. Lovely block, you know I'm going to have to join in, don't you? Trouble is, my quilting time is unpredictable so I will catch up when I can {smile}
ReplyDeleteOh well, I'll be in, it's a child free weekend! Ovely block, I'm quilting something similar at the moment :)
ReplyDeleteGuess I need to head back to those purple fabrics I pulled out and see what I can find... :-D
ReplyDeleteYou CANNOT be serious ... christmas already ! Nothing like being prepared I suppose ... and I am nothing like prepared (hahaha)
ReplyDeleteNice block btw.
Love the dark background, too. Can't wait to see how ours both turn out beautiful in a different way.
ReplyDeleteI'm in hopefully although I work on Sat. Sounds like a whole lot of fun. Love the block.
ReplyDeleteI'll be checking on you guys on Saturday...I will likely be quilting on a different project...no Christmas for me just yet.
ReplyDeleteI like both of your blocks, and now I have to choose my fabric. Thank you for doing this. I will be joining in on Saturday.
ReplyDeleteI love star blocks! I'll be joining you on Saturday.
ReplyDeleteSeeing "Christmas 2011" makes my head hurt just a little. Maybe it is because I have two last decorations from "Christmas 2010" still hanging on my pantry door. They are handmade by my toddler and too cute to put away. Ha! I'm having a hard time letting go of the last one and now it's time to look forward to the next one. :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'm not late in packing away. I'm just early in decorating.
Have fun ladies, Christmas will always be here - Hugs Nat
ReplyDeleteGo on count me in, though I can't promise to join in every week, some of us have to work you know. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how different from each other each of the two blocks look, just by using different fabric! Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteHope we can catch up on Saturday (your time). So see you then.
ReplyDeleteI've got some fabric set aside that I think just might work for this. It's Christmas sort of in a light turquoise and gold--been wanting to play with it for a few years now. ...It must be time!
ReplyDeleteIt`s a lovely block.
ReplyDeleteWow, love that block Sue!
ReplyDeleteAbs x
I have it planned and ready to sew on Saturday - after my quilt group meets :)
