.... my missing mojo has returned. So today I have spent a lot of time cutting. I've cut all the pieces for a Drunkard's Path kit, which was a doddle thanks to my Go! cutter, and I've cut all the pieces for a gorgeous quilt from Kim brackett's new book called Scrap Basket Sensations.
So where did it go, and why has it suddenly returned? Well I haven't a clue where or why it went, but I think I know why it's returned. I recently placed an order with Connecting Threads for loads of fabric and also for two kits. I hoped they might get my quiltivation going again and it worked. It's thanks to barb that I was able to buy these things as Connecting Threads don't ship overseas, so Barb volunteered to be my go-between.
When she forwarded things to me, Barb also put a little giftie in each package, and just look at what she has given me. Some gorgeous tropical Samoan fabrics and a lovely pen. Thank you so much Barb.
Perhaps now that we are in the first month of Spring, you have a spring in your step? (sorry, very ouch-worthy but could not resist).
ReplyDeleteIf the weather forecast we have here is accurate I shall be doing something very similar for the next couple of days. Look forward to seeing how your Drunkards Path turns out, haven't made one of them for ages.
That Barb is such a sweetie. Enjoy your new goodies.
ReplyDeleteYayyyy! I love a good mojo session! Glad yours came home to roost! Those fabrics are beautiful! My personal thanks to Barb for her help in the mojo search :)
ReplyDeleteGlad the MOJO is back! You should be stitching up a storm with the cold weather and reserving the lack of MOJO for the few beautiful days in England! LOL
ReplyDeleteJob well done to Barb....she is a sweetie!!!
Pleased to hear your mojo has returned. If you find mine please send it home! Can't wait to see the finished quilts.
ReplyDeleteWoot woot! It was just the time of year I think! That or you needed to hibernate for a while. What size are your drunkard path units? I have a 4.5" finished block die set but yours looked bigger? ( I hand cut 7" blocks yesterday using backporch templates.)
ReplyDeleteGood to hear your mojo is back! Lovely fabrics you got! OK, so CT don't ship overseas... I have thought of buying from them, but then I don't bother... I don't need anything either though! :) Can't wait to see progress on the Drunkards Path! :)
ReplyDeleteI loved my order from Connecting Threads. Ooohh those tropicals are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI just got an order myself from Connecting Threads! They have the best deals EVER!! Can't wait to see your Drunkard's Path quilt!!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful fabrics and pen! I like the idea of 'value added' post!
ReplyDeleteIsn't Bilbo a little previous with 'first month of Spring'? Still feels like the depths of winter here, some 100 miles south of you, and 160 odd from her.
Lovely to see you raring to go on the quilt front tho'. Can you post more of your 'Drunkards path' as you go? (another new term for this nosey ol' wotsit!)
You got your quiltivation back just in time for the Quilt Along!
ReplyDeleteGlad your mojo has returned! Barb is a wonderful enabler in any way you need her to be.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabric is such a motivator, and Barb is so nice. I'm happy you are back in play.
ReplyDeletePerhaps it was frozen....either that or it went on a little holiday.. but glad for you that it's back!
ReplyDeleteWhohooooooooooooooooooooooooo
ReplyDeleteYour Mojo is alive and well....glad it is back. A little bright fabric never hurt in inspiring the eyes and mind.
Isn't Barb a sweetie?
ReplyDeleteOh lucky you, that's so great that she did that for you. Happy stitching.
ReplyDeleteFun times ahead for you now that your mojo is back! Lovely fabrics Barb sent! The accuquilter is looking more and more like something I'd like.
