.... here's a handy hint to make it easier and quicker.

Don't wear your glasses.  I've discovered that if I don't, I can't see the dust on surfaces, or the bits on the carpets, so I don't need to get right into all the little nooks and crannies!  It's amazing how much time I can save.

  8. I've left my vacuum cleaner in the front hall by the door so that if people come over I can say "I was just cleaning".

  9. I don't do housework unless there are witnesses. My friends know they have to help when they come over to visit! cw

  10. That is a good one. I only do housework if we have company coming...or to vacuum threads from the floor. Dusting is not a priority!

  14. Oh, yeah! Being busy with life is a great reason for not doing housework.

  15. Hmm,. I wonder if it's the sewing that creates all the dust (that we can't see of course!) Quentin Crisp said that after 4 years dust doesn't get any worse. Not long to go here!

  19. Oh so I'm not the only one who uses that trick! LOL, it works to help ignore the mess as well...

Thanks for your tip about calling the LQS I did and they gave me all the information on the fabric that wasn't on the selvage. Yippie! Turns out there is an entire line of the stuff being discontinued. How lucky.
