.... so there I was. I had set up the frame (well, actually, Mr Fixit had set it up for me), sat Bertha on her throne on the frame and loaded up the backing and the wadding. Tell the computer I want to baste the two together, press the button and ....
.... nothing. Nada. Zilch. Zippo. WHAT??? OK, it's been a long time since they were used, so try again. Still nothing. Tried again. Same result. I was getting cross by now. Then I had a thought. So I checked. After that it worked. What did I do? I turned it on at the socket this time..
Sounds like something I would do! Glad it was resolved easily.
ReplyDeleteLOL! You are sounding like me now!! :-)
ReplyDeleteWe have all been there. Even Eddie Izzard.
ReplyDeleteI should have noted, that link in my previous comment is NSFW.
ReplyDeleteLOL. That's called a senior moment in our house!!! Hugs Linda
ReplyDeleteGlad it is up and working and was operator erros....that can be fixed...maybe???
ReplyDeleteAmazing how once the "juice" is flowing things jump to life! Be very careful if the non "juiced" contraption happens to be a blender filled to capacity and has the top off. Strawberries on a white ceiling are fun! to remove. Happy quilting.
ReplyDeleteLOL :) It's been a long week here, I can understand how it happened! hehe!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing what you loaded.
ReplyDeleteYou're a brave soul for even mentioning it! Better than having to hire a repairmen or have a service call, though!
ReplyDeleteROTFL. Sounds like the sort of thing I would do.
ReplyDeletehee hee hee, thanks for the giggle :o)
ReplyDeleteha, ha, I was going to say, plugged it into the socket.
ReplyDeleteUGH! Geez. You'll never guess what I found in my sewing machine cord the other day... A slice in it! Clean to the copper. Now I'm not naming names 'cause I don't know any but I know I didn't do it.
ReplyDeleteHey, I am always looking for my cell phone while talking on it.
ReplyDeleteUs quilters have a lot to think about! We are too smart to worry about trivial matters!
I wonder how many times we done that when using an electrical item
ReplyDeleteThe other thing is leaving something on when you should turn it off so join the club the i forgot club lol
Hugs Janice
Thankfully it was that easy of a fix!
ReplyDeleteI did the same thing with the TV the other day. I was all set to go out and buy a new one then looked at the outlet and noticed the plug was out of the socket. Yep, plugged it in and all was well. When I worked in site support, the first thing we did was check for power. How soon we forget.
ReplyDeleteWho would have thought such a small thing would make so much difference {snigger}?
ReplyDeleteAs you can see - we've all done it! Glad it was only a 'silly' and not a serious fault.
ReplyDeleteThank you! It's so nice to know I'm not the only one that does things like that. I know you told us just so I wouldn't feel bad.
ReplyDeleteSorry to laugh..but I just did! SOOOOO easy to do though!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad it was an easy fix! That could happen to anyone :) I hope it was smooth sailing after that :)
