Oops ....

.... so there I was.  I had set up the frame (well, actually, Mr Fixit had set it up for me), sat Bertha on her throne on the frame and loaded up the backing and the wadding.  Tell the computer I want to baste the two together, press the button and ....

.... nothing.  Nada.  Zilch.  Zippo.  WHAT???  OK, it's been a long time since they were used, so try again.  Still nothing.  Tried again.  Same result.  I was getting cross by now.  Then I had a thought.  So I checked.  After that it worked.  What did I do?  I turned it on at the socket this time..

  6. Amazing how once the "juice" is flowing things jump to life! Be very careful if the non "juiced" contraption happens to be a blender filled to capacity and has the top off. Strawberries on a white ceiling are fun! to remove. Happy quilting.

  9. You're a brave soul for even mentioning it! Better than having to hire a repairmen or have a service call, though!

  13. UGH! Geez. You'll never guess what I found in my sewing machine cord the other day... A slice in it! Clean to the copper. Now I'm not naming names 'cause I don't know any but I know I didn't do it.

  14. Hey, I am always looking for my cell phone while talking on it.

Us quilters have a lot to think about! We are too smart to worry about trivial matters!

  17. I did the same thing with the TV the other day. I was all set to go out and buy a new one then looked at the outlet and noticed the plug was out of the socket. Yep, plugged it in and all was well. When I worked in site support, the first thing we did was check for power. How soon we forget.
