I have wanted to visit California for ever I think - certainly since Mr Fixit went on business a few times in the late 70's and Lynn has invited me to visit several times, so I have decided that now the time is right. Yippee.
Lynn and I have never met in person, but have become good friends thanks to the internet - you know how sometimes you "talk" to someone, and just know that they are going to become close friends. Well that's just how it was for us (well it was for me, I shouldn't speak for Lynn should I?) We have some fun things planned while I am there, including going to the Quilting in the Garden quilt show. I bet there's going to be lots of talking and laughing too. Whoopie.
Yesterday I booked and paid for my air tickets, so now it's really, really real.
I am so excited, but I don't suppose you can really tell, can you?
How cool is this!! Counting down with you.
ReplyDeleteSo exciting! I fear California is too far from Ohio for a visit with me. Maybe that can be your next US trip. ;)
ReplyDeleteGood for you!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, you can speak for me Sue. I felt a bond from the first email! I love your little Holiday counter. I don't want to wish my life away, but I want the next four months to hurry up!
ReplyDeleteWow, way to go Sue!!
ReplyDeletePerhaps you should show a little enthusiasm!?! LOL! I haven't been to the San Francisco area yet, and I'm so jealous!!
ReplyDeleteWow, lucky you. I know you will enjoy and come back so refreshed and full of ideas, especially as Lynn has absolutely gorgeous things on her blog. I'm always envious.
ReplyDeleteWow! That is totally amazing and wonderful. I love SF, my sister lives there and I've been a couple times. I love it. You'll have so much fun with your soon-to meet-friend.

ReplyDeleteFantabulous to hear of your upcoming trip! I bet the two of you will be joined at the hip as you travel from quilt shop to quilt shop. Yay you!
ReplyDeleteSounds so fun! We used to live in Walnut Creek, California and went to San Francisco often just to walk around and find fun places to eat. Have a great time!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting, just shows what an amazing vehicle our blogs and the internet are.
ReplyDeleteHow long are you going for?
You are going to have a GREAT time. I love the internet and have since I started using it in the early 90's. But I love it more since I have been blogging. You meet such GREAT people. Have a wonderful holiday.
