Christmas QAL, post 2.

I have a confession to make.  Today we have had wall-to-wall sunshine all day, so I haven't done any sewing at all.  I have done some housework, some washing, some weeding, some cooking, some eating, and lots of thinking.

I think I have come up with an idea for the challenge quilt.  It means I need to order a couple of things so I won't be able to start it this weekend, but I'm sure I'll be back at the party tomorrow to do something a bit more constructive in the way of sewing.

In the meantime, thank you Jolly Jo for having us all over at your place for this weekend. I'll see you all tomorrow.

  1. They say confession is good for the soul. As long as you've been thinking about sewing, I think it counts for this project! Enjoy all the sunshine you can get.

  2. I'm so jealous of the warm sunshine, we've had wall to wall cloudy and cold! And it's only down the road! Look forward to seeing your plan :)

  3. We had sunshine here in Oz yesterday, but oh so cold.It is now 7am Sunday and -1.7 degrees. I have linked up and an idea formed in the wee hours this morning,so I'll be working things out today and will bypass my initial plan, but that will be done later this year as well, but not for the challenge.

  5. Thanks for a tremendous giggle - you've done more than me today :}

    Definitely no housework or washing, only a little cooking, some weeding, lots of eating and a great deal of sitting in the sun (where I did think about Christmas quilts ...)

    Having QAL over a weekend instead of just one day is a great idea, look forward to tomorrow!

  6. At least if the jobs are all done then there are no guilts about staying up late to sew!

  7. Planning definitely counts as working on a project. Can't wait to see it.

  10. I think we're in reverse, Sue. It is finally sunny and pretty here today so I need to get outside and get some of my planting finished up! The sewing I did yesterday wasn't Christmas related but I'm hoping to today when I get the outside work done!
