to make these blocks
Well, just before I show you what I have done with the blocks, just look at my unforced error (sorry, but it is Wimbledon fortnight, which I'm watching as I write this). Really, wouldn't you think I'd been making quilts for long enough to not make silly mistakes like this?
Anyway, here is what those blocks have become. I'm thinking the quilting needs to be fairly small circles on this one, unless anyone out there in Blogland has any better ideas?
Great minds think alike! I was sewing cornerstones on a border just this morning...one square was right side up, one square was right side down! That's why seam rippers were invented...giggle! Your quilt is wonderful...like the idea of circular quilting!
ReplyDeleteI really would love to make a red and white quilt. They are just so stunning!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet simple pattern. Very nice! Shoot, I might have just have to make one of these myself!
ReplyDeleteOooh! I like that.
ReplyDeleteI don't normally go for reds, but this one is very nice.
My record is unstitching a silly error only to stitch it back in exactly the wrong way. I hold Ms Cha Cha Cat responsible!
ReplyDeleteMistakes are all part of the game. I've done a lot worse than that., but I just love the simpleness of the quilt and I bought a pattern just recently that I am about to use on my next one which I'll be putting on the machine this week. I can't remember the name offhand but, I'll email you.
ReplyDeleteWould you stop being so productive, you're making me feel inadequate!!
ReplyDeleteLovely quilt top, what a great way to use a nice selection of fabrics.
I was going to suggest you came over next week but had forgotten about the tennis - will have a word with Management, maybe the week after????
The quilt design does look like the sprinkles on a cupcake. Sweet design.
ReplyDeleteHeavens, mistakes just mean you're human like the rest of us. Your new quilt is great. Little circles will give it great texture.
ReplyDeleteLove your sprinkles! What a cute idea.
ReplyDeleteThat looks fabulous and, yes, circles would be awesome.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun quilt!! Sprinkles is the perfect name for it. Love it, well done. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHave a super great sewing and stitching day!
OH...I love this!!
ReplyDeleteLove red and white together, looks fab. Wouldnt like to say about the quilting, small circles sounds good to me!
ReplyDeleteI think those unforced errors must be going around because I had two of them just like that yesterday, Sue! Thank goodness for seam rippers! I think circles would be a nice compliment to the squares and rectangles!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
