Challenge entry no. 2 by Bilbo and I

... or Kinky Boots, as we call this quilt!

On the same visit, Bilbo and I then started to get carried away (or do I mean we "should have been" carried away?)

We were talking about the Challenge and started thinking about Christmas songs, and there was one we both liked was "When Santa Got Stuck Up the Chimney".  We then applied some lateral thinking to it (and no, we hadn't started on the red wine at that point), and we thought how funny it would be if Santa was wearing his very best gold high-heeled boots at the time, so, here is our version

This little quilt did a few miles up and down the motorway between us as we each did parts of it. It measures 18" x 20" to the lowest point of the snow.

  1. I have lots of visions of Santa, but never in gold high heeled boots:)

  2. What a great collaboration. Wearing shoes like that, I can see how Santa would end up upside down.

Sunny, with boots like that, I want to know how he even made it to the chimney!

  4. Cute. I guess Santa was feeling vertically challenged and that's why he wore his heels...

  8. Upon seeing project 1, I thought, How nice, and Thank God she has Bilbo...Upon seeing Santa upended in his, shall we say, best boots, I thought, Oh Dear Lord! She has Bilbo and they're at the bottle...again! I am going to have another look at this project on the desktop screen...after I have a drink...morning foo foo coffee...for a little better visual focus! Seriously...I wish I'd been there to join in...Who knows what else might have happened to poor Santa...perhaps a reindeer antler sticking through the seat of his psnts exposing polka dot bloomers!

  11. Your version of Santa is definitely more Glam Rock that I am used to but now I have a whole Santa pictured in my mind....and it is not pretty.
