Eight blocks made early this afternoon ......
Eight blocks to be unmade late this afternoon!
Eight blocks to be unmade late this afternoon!
I have sewn, pressed and trimmed all eight blocks before realising that I have sewn the two centre pieces in upside down in every block. That means the whole block hast to be unsewn every time. How could I not notice such a glaring mistake earlier?
I hate it when that happens.
Yes, it's a pain. I like the colors that I'm seeing.
ReplyDeleteBeen there, done that but I have to admit it took me several days to get to the un-sewing part. I was being dramatic and was not going to fix the blocks - ever!
ReplyDeleteThis looks interesting ...sorry about the un-sewing xx
ReplyDeleteI'm sEw sorry Sue...I know I have felt your pain!! It's no fun!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a bummer. We have all done that. I would do it tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteOh I hate it when that happens. I am always tempted to just start over. No fun!
ReplyDeleteOooh a good workout for that electric ripper. ;-) Sorry you have to rip. Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you have created a new design??
ReplyDeleteOh what a ruddy nuisance. I don't suppose there is any way you can leave the piecing as it is and use the blocks to create something different?
ReplyDeleteI can hear your growl across the pond!
ReplyDeleteOh grrr is right!!!
ReplyDeleteBeen there, done that many times. Take care.
ReplyDeleteSomeone else posted they made a whole flock of flying geese only to discover they sewed them incorrectly and had to order more fabric to remake them because the color scheme was off. Spring Fever had hit.
ReplyDeleteOH! :( That's so annoying when it happens! Lovely colors! Have a great Sunday!
ReplyDeletewhat a bummer, never mind it will keep you out of mischief! I spent yesterday sitting next to your friend Lis at the Leeds MQG
ReplyDeleteIt happens...:o(( Someday you will laugh about it...
ReplyDeleteouch! I hate when that happens too!
ReplyDeleteoh Sue that is just awful when it happens good luck with the next ones
ReplyDeletejust reread.... all of them oh no !!!
ReplyDeleteLMSAO!!! That's something I would do!!! I've been learning paper piecing lately...may I share with you how much fun it is to rip that out, with it's tiny stitches and backstitching? I so feel/share you pain! Doesn't seem fair that it is so fast to sew them up and sooooooo long to remove those stitches!!! Has someone been praying for patience for you???
ReplyDeleteTime to stop and walk away....
ReplyDeleteNot so fun...don't like those kind of sew days....but I am sure tomorrow will be better.
No fun, but I bet you won't make that mistake again while working on this quilt.
ReplyDeletegrr is right! so frustrating.
