I've got three machine projects, (all throw size quilts, only one of which has been started so far), one hand applique table topper and a load of experimental things to play with. I've never been on a retreat before so I am very excited, but really don't know how much I should take with me. I must remember to pack a toothbrush and change of clothes somewhere too. And I'll need my camera, and my Kindle, my phone and my laptop, oh yes, and all the chargers, some sachets of my favourite hot chocolate for when I'm awake in the middle of the night, and I've just remembered I need to take some Steam-a-Seam and some freezer paper. Now I just need to keep my fingers crossed that Mr Fixit and my father stay fit and well while I'm gone so I don't need to come home early.
Assuming the hotel has wifi, I'll be back soon to tell you what I've been up to.
By the way, don't forget my giveaway, here
Sending wishes of fitness for your guys. Enjoy rhe retreat.
ReplyDeleteOoh, lucky you. Funny that Anne from the Frayed Edge is also going on a 5 day quilt retreat, starting tomorrow too, but here in Oz and then we are meeting up again here instead of in Scotland. Really enjoy and look forward to seeing what you get up to. Take care.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have a wonderful five days ahead of you. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy, enjoy! My sis and I really want to go to a retreat and hopefully we will find one that fits the bill.
ReplyDeleteI was reading too fast and thought it said you were taking three machines instead of three machine projects. Maybe you have automatic pilot machines!
ReplyDeleteYou are going to have a ball!! I thought you said you were taking 3 machines too! Lol
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time! Enjoy, and don't worry about the home folks - too much, anyway. Hope you accomplish lots!
ReplyDeleteAwesome, you will have so much fun and get so much done. I've been on retreat a whole 3 times and love 'em. Don't forget your cord for the sewing machine. One year a gal did that at our retreat. Luckily someone had a spare machine for her to use!
ReplyDeleteHave fun! Retreats are a blast. I always pack too many projects, but I'm afraid I'll be missing something, or not be in the mood for something else. You'll get a lot done, and the atmosphere of sharing and having fun is just the best.
ReplyDeleteYou sound and look well prepared! Have a ton of fun and I'm sure the guys will be ok!
ReplyDeleteDon't forget your foot pedal and power cord to your machine!
Oh how I love retreats! Looks like you are prepared. I know I always take way too many projects since we spend as much time laughing, talking and eating as we do sewing. Have a great time. I look forward to seeing everything when you return.
