Can you see all the rain and the grey sky? What you can't see is how strong and cold the wind is too.
Then I turn the other way, and this is what I see:
This fabric range is called "Delighted", but to me it is just Pure Sunshine. I love it. I actually won a voucher from Sunnybec over at Living The Dream a while ago, and these are the fabrics I chose. Thanks again Ms Sunnybec for these. They are so far from my normal choices which are Civil War/autumnal shades, but I just fell for them, and had to have some!
Now I'm off to work some more on this top.
Sometimes we just have to leave our comfort zone...and aren't we glad we did! Wonderful quilt full of sunshine...love it!
ReplyDeleteThey certainly make up for this weather.
ReplyDeleteWell done you for stepping outside your comfort zone and choosing such lovely sunny bright colours! I love the block design too -is it your own?
ReplyDeleteStay warm.....
ReplyDeleteLove love your quilt...
Love red and yellow together it's looking fabulous Sue. I don't want to say this too loud but....we have had some sunshine today YAY!!! Okay it's raining again now but it's the first time we have seen sun for quite a while. Hugs
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great that we can use fabric to boost our mood when the weather can't? Your garden looks lovely. Your quilt is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHow delightful to be working with such sunny fabric on a dark dreary day!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty quilt. These are my sister's colors.
ReplyDeleteWe went back to a cold spell (snow)- not good for the fruit trees. I prefer the Civil War/Prim fabrics & colors, but it is fun to play with something else. New Banner??
ReplyDeleteYour outside looks so familiar...ah the days. I sure enjoy the view of your sweet quilt better! Keep toasty.
ReplyDeleteHey your outside and my outside look about the same, weather-wise!! Love the new quilt!! Very cheery!

Yellow is my favorite color.
ReplyDeleteI just bought this ruler and I can't wait to use it! You did a fine job... ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh those bright fabrics are lovely. I think I might have added the "ugly" one just to make people wonder.
ReplyDeleteYour garden is lovely...even in the rain. I've hired a couple of young men across the street to weed and clean up my yard this year. Sure saves aches and pains on me.
I love your Wimbledon Squares. You've got my vote.
It may be rainy and cold, but your backyard still looks wonderful! Your quilt is cheery and bright. I love the way it's coming out.
ReplyDeleteYour view is lovely, Sue. Please show it again when the sun finally shines. Lovely fabric choice.
ReplyDeletewhat lovely fabric and a stunning quilt top!
ReplyDeleteWhen the fabric speaks to you, you just have to listen! Glad you did, it looks fabulous! Hopefully tomorrow the sun will shine just a few moments for us to enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteG'day. It's a shame about the rain and the wind, but your garden looks just lovely and I do like the bright colors you have chosen for the quilt. It looks fabulous. Take care. Liz...
ReplyDeleteMaybe rainy days were made for quilting. Sewing with fabric you love makes a wonderful experience.
ReplyDeleteAt least the garden looks nice! Love the sunshiney brightness :o)

What a lovely way to put some sunshine in your life!
ReplyDeleteYes, but what a beautiful garden though!
ReplyDeleteIf my daughter were at your house when you took that picture she would be begging to go play outside in the puddles. Love the fresh view of your garden, and I'm sure the garden got some good out of the rain anyway.
ReplyDeleteYou're right about sunshine these new blocks of yours are bursting with it.
Are you under hosepipe ban to add insult to injury?
ReplyDeleteI have a similar view out my window lol. Your quilt is so pretty Sue.
ReplyDeleteHope your weather has changed to sunshine and sunny skies. Love the quilt, love the colors, very unique and very modern.
