... haven't I been quiet? Bet you're all wondering why, aren't you? Well the reason can be given in one word: shingles. You remember me whinging a couple of weeks ago about the side effects of the pills I'd been given for a kidney infection? Well, it seems most of them weren't the side effects at all, they were the start of shingles. So now I've got anti-virus pills, painkilling pills and knockout pills for the night and I think I'd rattle if I was shaken. Still, they're all helping I think.
Of course, the other reason for my silence is Wimbledon. The first week of the tournament is finished, and Andy Murray is still in it. Wimbledon lasts a fortnight, and I can be found in front of my TV every day from lunch time onwards if anyone wants me.
Actually, I did feel a bit better again this morning so I did some sewing. I paper-pieced a whole block, which I'm not showing you! Oh, OK then, maybe I'll just show you this one picture.
Teehee, in the words of Rolf Harris, "Have you guessed what it is yet?"
Been there, done that with the shingles-ouch! I feel for you! Interesting block--no guesses, but it looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteoh no! I hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry, Sue! I've heard that shingles is very painful. Hope those pains go away, soon!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing your next project!
I sure hope you get over the Shingles faster than my sister Sue. She's been suffering for three months. Enjoy the next week of Wimbledon - and know I'll be watching every match too!
ReplyDeleteI've heard Shingles is an awful experience so I'm sorry to hear you have it. Thank God for pharmaceuticals. And, no, I have no idea what that block is.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you have shingles and hope if you have to have them they are a mild case that does not come back. Is it too late for this shingles shot to help?

Sorry to hear about the Shingles. That's one of my DH's many ailments, so I know it can be painful. Have fun stitching and Wimbledon-watching.
ReplyDeleteThat block looks very intriguing...and also looks very difficult. So sorry to hear that you have shingles...i hear it is a terrible thing to have...but do everything the doctor says and you will be better soon! Enjoy Wimbledon!

ReplyDeleteSue my friend, do take care and get well soon! Shingles are not fun, from what I've been told. We are already to July and this Saturday is Lone Star day!

ReplyDeleteNow, how did you get your camera or whatever to do that swirly thing? Looks like a block is going in a black hole! I can't wait to see what it really looks like.

Sure hope your shingles pass quickly. Once they are gone go get the shot. Then your chances of reoccurrence are diminished greatly.
