Christmas QAL - post 2

Pheww.  Done it.
I really love it, but just can't decide if I'm going to add a border.  The pattern doesn't have one, but I am thinking of making a piano key border.  What do you think?

Now I'm done in, so I'm going to be a party pooper and leave early.  Thanks so much Elizabeth for inviting us all and looking after us all so well.

  1. Oh, that is great!! I would probably leave the border off...unless it's too small to snuggle under. Glad you had a day with good progress!!

  2. I am loving the trees without a border. And, I am sure I would love the trees inside a border. Decisions! I would let the desired final quilt size, like Reenie said, determine the border question.

  3. wow stunning! I think a nice solid border would look good. Piano key border might take away from the trees....however you are a quilt designer so you would know better than me :)

  5. I love it! I don't think it is in need of a border, though a piano key border would look nice.

  6. I love your trees so much. I would do a solid border but that is just my taste. Whatever you decide is the best way to go.

  8. I saw this quilt at the show I was at - it looked great without a border - call it done.

  9. Awww. I was thinking a creamy border with maybe a small strip of green, or perhaps the cream with a red or green for the binding.

  10. Love your quilt! And it will be beautiful if you leave it as such, or add a border! But I do think my gut instinct would be to call it finished, as Sharon said! It is gorgeous right now!

  11. A happy and lovely Christmas quilt. I think I had kept it as it is, without any border.

  12. I love it too! I do usually like a border but would probably do it plain and simple if I were you. Obviously I'm not you so you can please yourself!
