Somebody's telling porkie-pies ...

... it's spring, "they" said.  So how come, this is what I see when I look out of my window this morning?
Where are all the lovely spring flowers like daffodils, and where is the beautiful cherry blossom on the trees?  Come to think of it, I'm still waiting for the crocus and snowdrops, which should have been flowering in January and February.

See why I think someone's not telling me the truth?

  1. Yes, the groundhog obviously failed at his job this year, didn't he? Dirty little bugger!

  6. Sue, it is mid 70's here in Las Vegas...come on out and enjoy a hot mess of pollen and allergy season!! ;-) Then we'll roast with summer temps around 110 degrees for 5 months (May to Sept)....trust me, enjoy the snow! It will warm up soon enough...

  9. We're on our second snow day, there have been so many this winter. Pretty scary that the school bus not only shut down completely in the middle of the highway, went into the ditch twice after all the kids were delivered safely and then got stuck the day before yesterday. Poor driver didn't get home until 7:00pm! Crazy weather with no spring at the end of the tunnel it seems.

  10. Even though we have had a fairly mild winter here in Florida, it is dropping again next week (it was 39 degrees this morning) which makes for one miserable gal here :-(

  12. Sue, the weather is crazy everywhere. Here in Victoria, we are due for another 35deg day on Wednesday and it's supposed to be autumn. We also had a tornado in N.E. Victoria which is rare. I suppose it all makes life interesting.

  13. We have been watching Look North and can't believe what weather you are having at the moment. Today has been our first good day, warm and sunny, I've got washing dry and done some gardening. It's forecast to rain tomorrow and be colder. Hope your snow goes soon... heck it needs to it's Easter next weekend for goodness sakes!!!! Crazy world. Hugs xxx

  14. That's what was outside my window this morning also. But I do have plenty of crocuses in bloom despite the snow, which at midday was melting. Hopefully the Easter Bunny will bring you plenty of sunshine.
