All Aboard!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow is our steam powered train trip to Carlisle. Does anyone know of any quilt shops there? (One track mind? Me? No.) I think we will have about 3 hours there so I am wondering what else there is to do that won't involve Mr Fence in too much walking. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

  1. Not a proper quilt shop but the tiniest little sewing machine/fabric shop with a small selection of quilt fabric at excellent prices, Superior Sewing Centre can be found at 14, Rosemary Lane, Treasury Court, Carlisle. If you want directions, difficult to explain, either do a Google or phone me.

Only problem, not sure if they are open on Sundays.

You could try the Tullie House Museum, I'm fairly certain they have some interesting textiles, not been there yet, bad Bilbo!

  2. Thanks Bilbo. I've looked them both up and we can get to the museum via the Sewing machine shop, so I can see if they're open or not.

  3. I wouldn't know but maybe we can find a bucket and paintbrush shop.
