Three down ....
So, I take a piece of fabric that's say 40" wide by 200" long. I want a piece which is 80" x 100", so I cut the length in half and sew the two pieces together. Brilliant. Then I measure it, and guess what I've got? A piece measuring 40" x almost 200". Whaaaaattt???? Yep, I sewed the wrong edges together. Am I the only one who is capapble of being so stupid?
:-) You are so cute! Of course you are not the only one who has sewn two things together wrong. I've done it numerous times!~ and sometimes it was the same thing, I just kept ripping and sewing and then ripping again and sewing... LOL Have a great day!
ReplyDeletelol...that sounds like something i would do. You are not alone :)
ReplyDeleteHaven't done that one yet - When my mind is too tired I just go to the bolts of extra wides - no troubles there.
ReplyDeleteVery funny. When this happens to me I blame the seam ripper. The blasted thing gets lonely!
ReplyDeleteYup...been there....done that...a few times. Gotta love those seamrippers!
ReplyDeleteThats why I love my seam ripper! Happy quilting, sounds like you are going to have lots of finishes soon, Sue SA.
ReplyDeleteOoops, can't say I've done that, but hey, there's is still time!
ReplyDeleteOMGosh! I have done that more than a few times! And I'm so shocked when I do!
ReplyDeleteG'day. Yes, I am very guilty of that.
ReplyDeleteOops indeed, better to have sewn it wrong than cut it wrong - I guess? Are those extra wide backing fabrics starting to look attractive?
ReplyDeleteSometimes I feel quite math challenged when I try to figure out the backs of quilts. I must confess I've done this myself...with my serger too. Best to just whack off and start again.
ReplyDeleteLOL...I make all kinds of blunders all of the time. Why do we do these things?
