OK, you're wondering what on earth I'm wittering on about now I bet, so I'll explain, in reverse order:
Not Finished, but Getting There is my Heartfire quilt designed by Lynn. I have all the blocks sewn into rows, and some of the rows sewn together, and here it is
Finished is my entry for the Christmas QAL challenge - you know, the one where we make a quilt on the theme of Christmas without using red or green. The binding's on, and I'm ready for the Grand Parade which will be here, over the second weekend in December (on 14 -15 December). Do you want to see the finished quilt now? OK, here it is
So I've been busy, but there will be no more progress on these cos the postman brought me some yummy fabrics today and I have some Christmas presents to make with them.
Wow - are you sure you didn't have a little gathering of elves to help you, Sue? Great and fast progress!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Progress is such a pleasant feeling. Have fun with your new goodies.
ReplyDeleteHmmm! Getting there and such a good feeling I expect. I won't be able to show any progress on my Xmas QAL. I'm afraid I don't even know where it is, but I'll finish it for next year. Take care.
ReplyDeleteYou really have got the bit between your teeth with Lynn's blocks, haven't you :}
ReplyDeleteLook At You! Gettin' Stuff Done & Nearly Done! Looking Forward to the Weekend...although...I find my Country Charmer is still wanting a little more "customizing" before it's really done and ready to quilt.

ReplyDeleteHeartfire looks wonderful Congrats on getting so much done. I hung my Country Charmer and started decorating for Christmas today. Looking forward to the parade
ReplyDeleteYou have been very productive Sue! You are ahead of me.....oh dear, I need someone to build a fire under me to get me working on my Heartfire. Love the applique in your blocks! I never knew the hysterical applique lesson at the cabin would ever "take hold." I still laugh every time I think about you and Nancy.
ReplyDeleteI do like the Heartfire quilt.
ReplyDeleteI wonder when my quilty mojo will come back. Probably when I've packed my machines away into a container for the trip to NZ!
Love your heartfire quilt! The reds and creams are so soft and pretty and the blocks are fabulous!
