.... shopping envy I think. Yesterday my father got the new Kindle he had been waiting for. I played with it last night and now I want one. My daughter has just bought a pair of Ugg boots, and guess what, now I've seen a picture of them, I want some! My son is in the process of buying a new car, but this time I don't want one. Pheww.
On another topic, 2 people, Ms Shell Creations and Ms Zany Quilter, have given my blog a Sunshine Award, which is really lovely of them. I should pass it on, but I can never decide who to give it to, so I am posting the award on my sidebar, and want to give it to all of you who come and visit me. My blog wouldn't be the same without you, as I'd feel stupid talking to myself, so thank you all.
Well, atleast your wallet will be better off without having to pay for a new car. LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty award to get. Thanks for sharing with us.
ReplyDeleteI too am tempted by the Kindle, but it means you have to buy books to go on it. I get through about 10 books a month which all come from the library, it would put too much of a dent in my pocket to buy that many. Shame the library doesn't lend ebooks yet, some authorities do, but not ours :(
ReplyDeleteyou deserve an award.....glad your wallet is resisting a car...could you show my husband how to do that?????
ReplyDeleteyou know it's ok to talk to yourself, it's just the answering back that's a worry :-) happy shopping! and Happy weekend too while we are at it :)
ReplyDeleteWell that's a well deserved award!! Congratulations!! Also LOVE the new HEADER- your quilt looks gorgeous!!

I've always loved the look of Ugg boots and have heard that your feet don't sweat in them. Since I live in Florida that sounds appealing for winter time. Go ahead - get yourself a pair!
ReplyDeleteYou're too cute! We visit your blog because we love you and think you're fabulous! Credit well deserved!!!!
ReplyDeleteI get the Ugg boots thing - they look comfy but I don't want a Kindle thing within a zillion paces - where is the joy in turning pages, looking at the pictures, researching across many different volumes resulting in a desk full of beautiful books?
ReplyDeleteI have only one thing to say about yet another electronic device - ugg :}
(Giggle - even the word verification agrees with me: yerech)
Congrats for Sunshine award! You deserved it, you are full of sunshine - Have a happy day - Hugs Nat
ReplyDeleteI have been curious about the Kindle thing for quite a while now. They seem like a good thing. Hope you will find yours soon. Congratulations on the Sunshine Award. Thank you for sharing it with all your readers. It is a bright spot for us all.
ReplyDeleteHave a super great sewing and stitching day.
I bought a Kindle a year ago and love, love, love it. Ask your dad if he has found this blog: www.booksontheknob.blogspot.com because every day she lists free books you can download to the Kindle. Many of them are books I would never read but occasionally there are some really good ones! blessings, marlene
