The winner ...

.... just before I tell you who won, I thought I'd show you a couple of pictures.

I took this picture this morning in my garden.  Roses, blooming in January?  In the UK?  What's going on?  Last January, we had this:

Now, the winner.  By the time I had given followers their extra entry, and deleted a couple who said they did not want to be included in the actual draw as they already had the book, there were 82 entries.  Then I paid Mr Random.Org a visit and asked him to chose the lucky number.  This is the number chose:
and number 16 was the additional "follower entry" from Jayne of Jayne's Quilting Room

  2. Oh how cool Jayne is going to love your book! :-D Lovely rose this year, the weather sure is confused isn't it? Not that I'm complaining. Though we've had lots of hot and then cold days, with is tiring and I'm starting to wish it would just pick one already. LOL

  3. Hi Sue, our weather here Down Under has been quite crazy as well. Very hot week in early October in Spring, then milder over Xmas when it can get very hot. February is usually our hottest month, but seeing as this month has been reasonably mild apart from a few days, I think Autumn will be late arriving. and yes, the plants get very confused! Sandy :)

  4. Ah!! It's me! Now I know why you asked if I'd seen your blog!! So cool! You know, your book was on my Christmas list, and when it didn't appear, I was planning to shop for it the first chance I got out to a quilt shop. Now I get one directly from the author, herself!! I just can't express how pleased I am, Sue!! What a wonderful surprise for a dreary, icy day here in S. Ohio. Your surprise rose is equally exciting!! (*I'm all smiles!!*) Thanks for the giveaway!!

  6. All over the states it's been mild. No snow here, and that has never happened in my life time. Ever. I love the rose. Just love it. It's white and so much better smelling than snow!

  9. Congrats to the winner! LOVE the roses, but what a weird weather year it's been!! I'm sitting here watching the icy rain fall. We haven't had hardly any snow at all. It's killing our ski/snowmobile season and it's hard on the economy around here. New Hampshire and Vermont depends upon the snow...anyway, have a happy day!
