My face ...

... must have been a picture.  "Why?" I hear you asking.  Well I'll tell you.

Today Mr Fixit and I went to a carvery for lunch.

I had roast pork, and with it came a piece of crackling.  Yummy, I love crackling.  Anyway, I saved it till the end, but was really disappointed to find that I could not break it with my knife and fork, and it was too big to eat all in one piece.  So Mr Fixit said "put it on my plate then" when I whinged about it.  Thinking what a chivalrous gentleman he was to break it up for me, I did just that.  Guess what he did?  He ate it!!!!  I could not believe it.

So that's why I said my face must have been a picture.

  4. Sounds like something my hubby might do. He loves crackling, but I can't ever get it to go crispy. Hope the rest of the meal was nice.

  8. Seems to me that Mr. Fixit owes you another lunch out, and he needs to give you a tasty treat from his plate.

  10. Yum. I love all the bits that are bad for me :D My dear husband is no longer around to save me from myself but he was known for silly tricks. Just thinking about the salty, fatty, crispy cracklings makes me hungry. Somehow a healthy piece of fruit isn't going to do the trick.
