We don't go out over bank holidays cos everyone else does. The weather has been gorgeous, but now it's raining again. This afternoon the Nomads arrived on our doorstep again. The nomads are daughter, son-in-law, kids and dog. Husband nicknamed them that when they got their dog, Archie, as they take him out for a walk and usually seem to end up here, so he reckoned they were wandering nomads with no home! Anyway, today was no exception, and here is a photo of them and grandson having a rest after a long walk.
And here is a photo of Archie. He loves coming here cos we usually have a bone or some such treat for him. He's only 6 months old, and already BIG. He doesn't like staying still, which is why son-in-law is holding him. Archie thought it would be much more fun to try get to the camera and eat it!
Tomorrow I'll try and show you what I have been working on today and meantime I hope everyone has had a good holiday weekend.
I think it's wonderful that your daughter and her family can walk to your house. I would have loved to have been able to walk to my grandmothers house when I was a kid.
ReplyDeleteIt is good, and in fact we moved nearly 200 miles in order for that to happen!
ReplyDeleteWe don't go out bank holidays either!
ReplyDeleteArchie looks wonderful, and is that a rather nice Braid quilt I spy on the back of your sofa?
He is gorgeous Bilbo. He's only about 6 months old, so he is going to be very big, but he is so friendly and yes, that is my Braid quilt - not bad for someone who struggles with more that 3 fabrics in a quilt is it?
