Remember this quilt?
It's the mystery quilt I had published last year in Popular Patchwork.
It lives on a chair in the lounge, and a few days ago I was just sort-of looking at it while talking to a friend on the phone, when I suddenly realised that one of the blocks is the wrong way round!
Oh well, no-one's perfect!
A blind man would be glad to see it (as they say) - and so would I. How can you tease us so on a slow Sunday afternoon?!!!
ReplyDeleteI sure can't see anything backwards.
ReplyDeleteThe small yellow squares should follow through as should the little red ones - and there are many blocks the 'wrong way round' but who cares this is one lovely quilt and I enjoyed making it from your directions!
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat quilt! Of course I can't see the wrong one... :)
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! The wrong way block certainly does not take away from the quilt.
ReplyDeleteYou're almost right sewing granny, the gold should run one way and the red/gold the other way. I think because they are so similar it is not easy to see - it can't be, it's been in my living room for 18 months now.
ReplyDeleteSure, nobody's perfect, but until I read your explanation, I never even saw the wayward block! It's a really pretty and elegant quilt.
ReplyDeleteThat has so happened to me...but not on a quilt that was published. Loved the mistake...you pointed out... though I couldn't see it myself. 35 miles an hour past my bedroom window..if you can't see the mistake.... its not getting unsewed!
