........... the top I was making during the Christmas Quiltalong day last Saturday.
I used a jelly roll plus some white tone-on-tone fabric that I already had.
Just out of interest, I thought I'd show you just how much I had left from the jelly roll. Pheww, that was a bit close wasn't it?
I LOVE it! It's absolutely wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThats so pretty !! I hate when I think I will run short too !!
ReplyDeleteThank God you just made it girl!!
Oooh scrummy!! and that's HEAPS of leftovers, you could make a table runner out of that ...
ReplyDeletemy last comment should have had ~snigger~ at the end of it, but I used <> brackets which blogger obviously doesn't like. Is there an HTML code called snigger I wonder??
ReplyDeleteSewAli, I think we need a /chuckle/ tag because I thought exactly the same thing.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness she doesn't like lots of scraps leftover from each quilt ... Mrs Flummery and I, on the other hand, think that is one of the best bits of finishing a quilt!
I am agreeing with "sewali"...you have plenty of scraps left to play with!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe some matching Christmas stockings or tree skirt.....
Love how it's turned out. You could use your scraps on the back.
ReplyDeleteLove and hugs Gina xxx
You thought I was just here for Saturday, didn't you :-) x x x
ReplyDeleteIt's really lovely Sue - well done!:0)
ReplyDeleteIt looks fab - very festive. You could use those scaps with a Go feathers die to make an applique wreath or for paper piecing some santas!
ReplyDeleteHi Quilt Sue,
ReplyDeleteI see the girls ahead of me are giving you a bit of a hard time...I think I would turn those scraps into a pot holder...or pockets on an apron and show them!! Love the quilt- the colours are fabulous and look great on your couch. You could use that quilt year round as there are no holly or bells or Christmas stuff in the print!! Very sweet!!

How pretty, just the right balance of scrappy. Looks great.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! Congratulations on the great finish!
ReplyDeleteWow, Sue! I love that Christmas fabric. That turned out really nice. It's good that you didn't make any cutting mistakes -- you wouldn't have had extra fabric to fix it!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! I love the fabric. Yours is the second Christmas quilt I've seen today, and it makes me want one. That's going on my project list!
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous! And you didn't waste a bit of fabric.
ReplyDeleteVery nice you done a lovely job
ReplyDeleteIf you buy fabric for a project it nice to know that you don't have much over at least it all gets used without adding to the stash lol
Hugs Janice
It's fab Sue! Lovely :) Like the 'chuckle' button idea!
ReplyDeleteThat quilt is getting me in the Christmas mood! I might have to pull out Christmas fabrics this week!
ReplyDeletewow, nice christmas project.
